I'm Lisa.

Im the photographer behind LJ Photography.

I’m a Waikato–based photographer with a strong connection to rural life, equine sport, and heartfelt storytelling. Living and working on a dairy farm has shaped how I see the world — I’m drawn to genuine moments, natural light, and the quiet details that often mean the most.

Alongside my equine and rural work, I also photograph Families, weddings and sporting events. I love capturing people in an honest, relaxed way — focusing on real emotions, meaningful connections, and all the moments in between. From the big celebrations to the small, fleeting glances, my goal is to tell your story as it truly felt.

My approach is calm, unobtrusive, and thoughtful. I don’t believe in overly posed images, but in creating photographs that feel natural, timeless, and full of feeling — whether that’s a couple on their wedding day, a horse mid-stride, or life unfolding on the farm.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me with my family, around horses, or immersed in farm life — the very things that continue to inspire my photography.
